Some weeks ago we had Annabelle back in Rome to celebrate Lisa’s birthday and spend time at the beach. Lola enjoyed it a lot to see “Tante Belly” after such a long time.
This is definitely the most unusual place to play Poker in Rome. Simon, a friend of us, who lives also in Trastevere, invited some friends to play poker by night. Not enough that he owns an amazing roof terrace, he managed to bring a real poker table up to play poker under the night sky of Rome and with view on St. Peter’s Basilica.

Jacob Charles Dietz is an internationally published artist and illustrator working in both traditional and digital mediums and usually both simultaneously. His work tends to center around technology, science fiction and that which just doesn’t exist, lending itself to a wide audience and extensive client base.
Here is a comment about his work on the Ducati Desmodeci 3000.
Ever since I saw Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder in Episode IV: A New Hope, I’ve always held a fondness for compact, antigravity/hover vehicles. In the case of the Ducati Desmodeci 3000, the idea of wrapping ones self around what basically equates to an engine with some light fairing material bolted around it is pretty enticing, especially when the pilot is hot young thing in a form fitting leather racing suit. Needless to say, it cant get pretty hot out on the salt flats.
He should send it to the engineer’s of Ducati for the next MotoGP season. At least they would get around the tire problems.

The Cans Festival was set up to be, essentially, an anti-Cannes, stencil-only, street art festival that is collaborative, free, and open to anyone to participate. The festival took place in London on the weekend from May 3-5, 2008. The graffiti impresario Banksy and a host of airbrush-wielding guerrilla artists blanketed the walls of a disused south London tunnel with offbeat murals as part of a three-day stencil-art street party.
Here is a video about some of the shown works.

[Semiotic studies, or semiology is the study of sign processes (semiosis), or signification and communication, signs and symbols, both individually and grouped into sign systems. It includes the study of how meaning is constructed and understood.]
Semiotics is important for understanding a process through which we derive meaning- most importantly, that meaning is negotiated- and this has specific implications for the use of power and control through language. This is a great video explanation.
