Hi there, I am a graphic- & interactive designer based in Germany. If I'm not behind the screen you will find me on the move. Have fun going through a comprehensive mood about my life.

My Privacy

How the hell do they know?

How often did you ask yourself that question after clicking on certain websites where banners show up with exactly the offer you typed into search engines some days ago? Why is your email inbox filled with newsletters about Viagra and waxing? Well, that I should know 🙁

But, here comes a great explanation video from Reputation.com about how the data mining and people search industries operate, and what you can do to remove your name and personal data from the Web. The “MyPrivacy” software from Reputation.com helps you to remove your personal data from dozen of people search databases across the Internet.

The video production was done by Borracho Pictures and as they say, a big old Adobe-fest. Handcrafted vector icons from Illustrator, motiongraphy in After Effects and the sequences were assembled and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.

No more email surprises in the morning? Let’s see …

BTW, you can take your private scan on their website. Only if you are located in the States. Yes, I thought the same but they say they don’t storage any of the found information.

3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage… all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food ….into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films…..

= a trip of a lifetime.

Google Plus

[media id=146 width=650 height=366]

If you rate Google with the “+” or “-” is up to you but it will be maybe hard to get around it in the future. Yes, right, you don’t need to use it if you don’t like! The Google system will not force you to use it but maybe don’t have to. There are already good reasons out why to use it instead or beside Facebook. The quality of content is much higher and better selected than on Facebook. That maybe will change with the amount of members over time but hopefully never gets as poor than on Facebook. The idea of having your friends/people you know in different circles is a nice option to have to share your information with just certain groups of people or all, as you like. Sparks are making it easy to find content of your interests easily over the massive search engine of Google and to share it within one click with the audience. The “Hang Out” function gives you the freedom to have video calls with as many friends you like at the same time and seeing them on screen. So there are plenty of more well thought through functionalities and they all come in a very basic and simply user friendly design.

I’m using it now for 3 weeks and I’m well surprised by the quality of posts and content I see and find on Google+. Facebook is still nice for the daily gossip and updates of peoples life’s but nothing really more above that. If you want to hand out even more information to Google by using Google+, that is a good question! But both systems had and have your account with an tremendous amount of information about you, your daily life, interests are already set up  for you. The only thing you need to do is, sign up for it.

Still not sure? You can take the walk-through here

The Art of FLIGHT – Part 2

[media id=145 width=650 height=366]

The Art of Flight: Metal Teaser is out and the final movie releases September 2011.

Brain Farm has gathered an arsenal of the most advanced and progressive film making technology to bring the snowboard community an epic snowboard adventure. Amazing camera movements and perspectives capture the most insane actions at destinations like Jackson Hole, Alaska, Chile, Aspen, Patagonia and more.

This is the new high watermark for snowboard movie-making. As you can tell by the pictures, Red Bull must have spent an embarrassment amount of money to shoot this movie but believe me, every second pays back big time.

Have fun!

Where phantasy becomes reality

The good old man great known for his sense of humor and phantasy offers today his former house, the castle “Münchhausen”, as one of the nicest wedding location to the people in love. A perfect location to assist my friend Chris on another wedding shoot.

With all the stories he made up I really hope that people get away inspired by the phantasy of “Baron von Münchhausen” rather than to tell another lie.
