What a all time classic song! It came up in my iTunes play list and made a smile on my face. So maybe it’s doing the same to you. The man with a really German name, Henry John Deutschendorf , changed his name to John Denver and became one of the best known and most popular acoustic artists of the 1970s. He composed 200 out of 300 songs he recorded and released over the years. I think there is no doubt about the great talent he had when you listen to songs like “Country Road”, “Sunshine On My Shoulders” or even the above one “Leaving On A Jet Plane”. Also Lola is already a big fan of him and loves him, maybe, for the song about the red nose reindeer “Rudolph”.
